I am a member of New Life Lutheran church in Myrtle Beach, SC. We are a very small LCMC mission congregation with our Pastor Mark Schimmell, who is very passionate about spreading the word of Jesus Christ. I have just started a Prayer Shawl Ministry of which I am very excited about. I pray that Jesus Christ will look down upon this ministry, help it to grow, and through this very compassionate cause, bring more believers to the church. I have seen first hand the faces of people in nursing homes, hospices, shut in's, wives & mothers of deployed military, new mothers, brides to be... light up with joy wrapped in God's loving arms through the Prayer Shawl. I have also seen the satisfaction that comes with stitching these wraps knowing the recipient will be comforted by it. Please Lord, hear my prayer, Please Lord help my church & Pastor Mark draw people to Jesus's name, even if it be one soul at a time... but help us to help them come and share in the glory of You.
